Chef Ernesto Iaccarino
Since he was a child, during school holidays, Chef Ernesto Iaacrino has always worked in the restaurant of his family, the Don Alfonso 1890. He travelled extensively all over the world including: Europe, Asia, United States and Middle East, trying to combine work and discovery of other cultures and other cuisines. In 1995 he graduated in Business Economics at the University Federico II of Naples.
In order to complete his managerial experience, parallel to his being a cook, he worked for 2 years, starting from 1997 until 1999, in Milan at the Price Waterhouse as auditor of financial statements. In 1999 he came back to Sant’Agata sui due Golfi and he started to follow his real and primary passion in a definitive way.
In 2003 he became the Chef of Don Alfonso 1890, 2 Michelin star Restaurant. Starting from January 2016 he is the European President of the association JRE (Jeunes Restaurateurs Europeennes). Since 2016, Don Alfonso 1890 has been voted by Trip Advisors users as the Best Italian Restaurant.
Together with his family Chef Ernesto has opened restaurants in all over the world which follow the philosophy of the Don Alfonso 1890.
